Led the re-architecture of a feature-heavy app into a focused clinical core for a widely-downloaded platform — migrating active users without any required action.
Context & Constraint
The app had become a catalog of features that diluted its core value. Any change risked churning existing active users.
Decision + Tradeoff
I repositioned the app around the canonical patient record, with a phased relationship model (loss → off-ramp → maintenance → re-entry). I chose a silent migration — no user action required — over a re-onboarding flow. That traded away a "relaunch" marketing moment in exchange for a clean migration. For an active clinical user base, continuity won.
